UAE's association with Kazakhstan worth Over $6 Billion


During a two-day visit to Abu Dhabi, Askar Mamin the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan has signed an agreement worth $6.1 billion with the United Arab Emirates, this association with both the countries will enforce more than 20 projects across different economic sectors.

Askar Mamin during the visit met Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Minister for Presidential Affairs, to have an in-depth conversation in developing the commercial ties between the two nations.

In Kazakh government's statement, after both the countries discussed the growing collaboration in agribusiness, transport, trade, logistics, space, etc., the he document was immediately signed. Kazakhstan has proposed to UAE an array of projects in conjunction with those requiring the formation of new business with high added value and a vast demand potentially both in the local and foreign markets.

Most of the jointly implemented projects in both the countries are fixated on agribusiness.

According to a statement by the Kazakh prime minister, "From 21 planned projects out of which 10 projects are dedicated towards the launch of high added value of food production. With which the UAE and The Republic of Kazakhstan are bestowing more attention towards the potential cooperation in the agro-industrial sector. This will increase UAE's link in the Food Security Strategy with Kazakhstan by 2051 and the trade between the countries."

According to government data over the past years Kazakhstan has received direct investments from UAE which touched more than $2 billion. Investments were poured into more than 350 different representative offices, companies and branches. In the first ten months of 2019 the two countries trade reached $500 million.
