In Q3 2025, the Tanzania Investment Agency filed 201 investment projects valued at TZS 6.18 trillion. mainly in manufacturing, construction, and transportation, with the UAE representing as the primary funding source.
Between July and September of 2025, the Tanzania Investment and Special Zones Authority registered 201 projects totalling 6.18 trillion shillings. The United Arab Emirates, China, and India emerged as the top sources of foreign investment capital for the projects, which were primarily in manufacturing, construction, and transportation.
In addition to supporting technological advancement, industrial growth, and a competitive economy aimed at sustainable national development, the projects are expected to create over 20,800 jobs for Tanzanians.
TISEZA Director General stated at a press conference in Dar es Salaam that local investor participation increased during that time.
Local investors registered 74 of the 201 projects, or 35% of the total, as opposed to 27% during the same period last year.
According to TISEZA Director General, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), China, and India were the top sources of capital investment during that time, indicating an increase in international trust in Tanzania's investment climate.
The regions with the greatest number of projects—Dar es Salaam, Pwani, and Arusha—continue to be at the forefront of drawing in new investments.
TISEZA is providing opportunities to both domestic and foreign investors in ten priority sectors, such as automobile manufacturing, renewable energy products, electrical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and various industrial goods, as part of its ongoing campaign to encourage investment in Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
