DMCC has launched JLT Link, a fully electric-powered community bus service designed to enhance connectivity across Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) and Uptown Dubai. The service replaces the existing RTA bus service without interruption to the current passenger schedule, providing residents, workers and visitors with improved access between the two districts.
The new service is expected to strengthen mobility across JLT and Uptown Dubai by improving access to restaurants, cafés, retail outlets, offices, hotels and other community amenities. By offering a convenient alternative for shorter journeys, JLT Link aims to reduce reliance on private vehicles while supporting the continued development of Uptown Dubai as a growing commercial and lifestyle hub.
The initiative forms part of JLT’s wider environmental efforts, which include solar-powered infrastructure, Dubai Can drinking water stations and community recycling facilities. The introduction of fully electric buses supports Dubai’s focus on clean mobility, reducing transport-related emissions and advancing its long-term sustainability and Net Zero 2050 objectives.
JLT Link will operate across 18 bus stops, with connections to DMCC Metro Station and Sobha Realty Metro Station, strengthening links with Dubai’s wider public transport network. The fleet includes 16-, 23- and 31-seat buses equipped with low-floor access, wheelchair accessibility and standing space, providing a more accessible and comfortable transportation option for the community.
