AJ Al Asmawi Group is expanding its operations at Dubai Industrial City with a new facility dedicated to oil rig manufacturing and refurbishment. The project aims to strengthen the UAE’s domestic industrial capabilities by introducing advanced production facilities for drilling structures, rig packages and oilfield equipment servicing.

The company is investing an additional AED 45 million in the expansion, which will cover more than 330,000 square feet. The development will increase its total footprint at Dubai Industrial City to approximately 4.7 million square feet, reinforcing its manufacturing and industrial operations within the UAE.

The new facility will incorporate advanced and smart manufacturing technologies, alongside research and development initiatives to improve production efficiency. It will also provide refurbishment and lifecycle services for oilfield equipment, helping meet industry demand, reduce delivery lead times and strengthen local supply chains.

The expansion is expected to create around 200 additional jobs and contribute to the UAE’s efforts to localise the production of essential industrial equipment. Designed in line with international environmental and facility management standards, the facility will support the growth of advanced manufacturing and strengthen the country’s industrial and energy sectors.
